In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top film and television apps on iOS in Austria exhibited diverse performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at how Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, ORF ON (TVthek), and ServusTV On performed.

Netflix saw a gradual decline in weekly revenue, from approximately $23.7K at the end of September to about $17K by the end of December. However, weekly downloads fluctuated, peaking at around 6.7K in the final week of December. Weekly active users increased from 240K to 264K over the quarter.

Disney+ experienced strong revenue growth, starting at $70K in late September and reaching up to $93.6K in early December. Downloads spiked significantly in early December, hitting 7.3K. Active users also saw an increase from 83K to over 85K by the end of the quarter.

Amazon Prime Video maintained a relatively stable revenue stream, with weekly earnings around $9.2K to $14K. Downloads were consistent, with a peak of 3.8K in the last week of December. Active users fluctuated slightly, ending the quarter with approximately 109K users.

ORF ON (TVthek) showed remarkable spikes in weekly downloads, notably in mid-November with a surge to 12.4K. Active users also saw a significant peak around the same period, reaching over 10.7K before stabilizing at approximately 3.6K by the end of December.

ServusTV On had variable weekly downloads, with notable peaks in late November and early December, reaching up to 4.5K. Active users mirrored this trend, peaking at around 7.8K in early December before tapering off to 3.6K by the end of the month.
